My colorful background in science education and communication makes me a great fit for any tutoring agency. I have earned master and doctorate degrees in biological sciences from Bard College at Simon's Rock and the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Currently, I work as a biology editor and writer, and have edited research manuscripts on various biology and environmental science topics. Some writing content I have done includes medical topics including anatomy, physiology, and even genetics. My passion is to teach students with both extensive and minimal scientific backgrounds. I believe everyone learns differently and at his or her own pace. I like to ensure others can understand these otherwise complex concepts through my teaching. Subjects I have previously taught include AP environmental science, AP biology, life sciences, and ecology. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy traveling and writing. I also love hiking, camping, and dog training in my hometown of Madison, South Dakota.
